Thank you for your interest in working for Wandsworth’s Children’s Services. We have recently reviewed our senior leadership and operational arrangements and are now seeking to appoint an Assistant Director of Early Help to our Senior Management Team. It is an exciting time to be joining us in a role that is certain to stretch and challenge you yet one which promises to offer a real opportunity to shape future services.

We have high ambitions when it comes to delivering better and more cost effective services and are looking for a proven leader to shape, lead and deliver our future aspirations for Early Help Services here in Wandsworth. Although we have not prescribed the professional background you will need to have substantial experience of working in a leadership role and developing high quality services in partnership with health, education and the police. You will have a proven track record of service improvement and will be able to work comfortably with elected members, staff and the people who use our services.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative and effective relationships with our partners and stakeholders to deliver key objectives whilst championing our cause on the regional and national stage. The post offers a fantastic opportunity to play a leading role in designing the future of Early Help and Youth services as we move strategically towards prevention, early help and early intervention. You will find our services have very solid foundations, with strong commitment from senior Councillors and our workforce. If you are interested in being part of this exciting new journey, making your mark on this opportunity to influence services, I look forward to receiving your application.
