Assistant Director Children’s Services – Early Help
London Borough of Wandsworth
Up to £130k plus PRP
Wandsworth is an exciting place to live and work. It can present significant challenges for some of our children, young people and families who feel excluded or require additional support. As a Council we are transforming our services to ensure this support is available, in the right place and at the right time.
We have made significant progress since our Ofsted inspection in December 2015. This new role will shape and lead our Early Help and Preventative Strategy, covering Early Years, Family Recovery, Youth Crime and Offending as well as Youth Services across Wandsworth. It is a large and broad portfolio for an experienced Assistant Director who can forge multi-agency partnerships with children’s social care, schools, health, the voluntary and community sectors.
Whatever sector you currently work in, you will be an experienced senior manager who is keen to understand our communities, can provide clear leadership to staff and confident advice to elected members. You will bring innovation and experience of service redesign – helping us prepare for future challenges as well as delivering on current priorities, including financial savings.
Wandsworth is located in south west London, widely seen as one of London's most dynamic, successful and attractive areas. A relocation package is available for a successful candidate who needs to move house upon appointment".
